Fenix HL16 Child's Headlamp

The Fenix HL16 headtorch has been specifically designed for children, ensuring they are able to be safe and seen when exploring. The headlamp has a maximum output of 70 lumens from the Cree XP-E2 R3 NW and is powered by a single AA battery (alkaline or NiMH).

The headtorch is operated by single switch, providing fast and convenient access to the outputs. The HL16 features two red side lights, one constant on and one flashing, in addition to three neutral white levels. The neutral white LED provides excellent colour rendering, making the light ideal for reading, investigating and discovering new places in the dark! 

The HL16 features a secure lock to ensure children don't try to investigate the internal structure of the light. The lock can be opened by adults with the included Allen key and is also where the battery is stored. The headband features reflective lines which ensure the user's safety and visibility.

Using 1 x NiMH AA battery
High: 70 lumens - 3 hrs runtime
Mid: 30 lumens - 7 hrs runtime
Low: 4 lumens - 60 hrs runtime
Plus Red (75 hrs runtime) and Red Flash (150 hrs runtime)

Using 1 x alkaline AA battery
High: 70 lumens - 2.5 hrs runtime
Mid: 30 lumens - 7 hrs runtime
Low: 4 lumens - 58 hrs runtime
Plus Red (85 hrs runtime) and Red Flash (170 hrs runtime)

Maximum beam distance 35 meters, waterproof to IP66 and resistant to impacts up to 1 meter.

Operation

• Press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds to turn the light on and off.
• Single click to cycle through the modes, in order High-Low-Mid.
• Single click the switch to enter Red light and repeat to enter Red Flash.
